The Fitzwilliam Museum

The Fitzwilliam Museum is the lead partner of the spectacular collections of the University of Cambridge Museums (UCM) and Botanic Garden.

Discover award-winning exhibitions, events and a changing display of artworks and objects from throughout history to today. The Fitzwilliam Museum’s collection of over half a million objects includes Ancient Egyptian artefacts, rare coins and mediaeval illuminated manuscripts, as well as modern and contemporary art, historic paintings and classical sculptures. All housed in their monumental Grade-I listed building in the heart of Cambridge. Drop by the Courtyard Kitchen café for refreshments and pick up your memorable gifts and unique souvenirs from the Courtyard Shop.

Tuesday – Saturday: 10am – 5pm

Sunday & Bank Holidays: 12 – 5pm

Closed Mondays, Good Friday, 24 – 26 & 31 December and 1 January.

Admission

The museum remains free but we welcome your donations.

Book your exhibition tickets in advance through our website to guarantee entry at your preferred time. Walk-up tickets are available for dates that are fully booked online, but you may need to wait during busy times.

Groups

Group visits of over 10 must be booked at least two weeks in advance to avoid disappointment. Visit the group visits page on our website for more information, or email us directly: events@fitzmuseum.cam.ac.uk
