Create a bespoke drum lampshade with block printing on fabric in this engaging workshop led by Lydia, a skilled fabric printer and maker from Suffolk.

In this workshop, you will:

  • Learn the art of block printing to personalise textiles.
  • Practise techniques on scrap fabric before printing a 30cm drum lampshade on cotton or linen.
  • Experiment with a variety of wooden blocks, linocut designs, and paint colours.
  • Take home a unique handmade lampshade and new creative skills.
  • Optional: Enjoy a walkthrough of David Parr House.

This workshop is open to all skill levels, from beginners to experienced printers.

Inspired by her surroundings, she creates prints featuring wildlife, coastal themes, and botanical elements.
