The Cambridge Chop House

The Cambridge Chop House sits in the heart of Cambridge, just 50 yards from King’s College Chapel and a similar distance from Cambridge Arts Theatre. A building packed with history and charm, The Cambridge Chop House is spread over 2 floors with atmospheric cellars and a large glass fronted corner location. With its quirky spaces and great views, it is arguably the best spot in Cambridge.

The food is from traditional British roots, is no nonsense and keenly presented. Specialising in interesting cuts & chops of meat it is a haven for the meat lover. All steaks are at least 28 days aged and sourced from within the UK.

Sunday roasts are a highlight. On a Sunday lunchtime a variety of roast meats such as roast pork belly, roast chicken, and traditional roast beef with all the trimmings are available. With its stunning views of King’s College Chapel, a Sunday lunch at The Cambridge Chop House, is a quintessential British and Cambridge experience!

However great steaks are not the only option, with regularly changing fresh fish specials and hearty vegetarian food, there is enough choice to satisfy all tastes.

foodPark. is a collective of top-quality Cambridge based street food traders operating at regular lunchtime markets on weekdays and evening events throughout the year. foodPark. trades all year round at University of Cambridge’s West Cambridge Campus, Cambridge Science Park, Cambridge University Library, Eddington and the CB1 Development at Cambridge Railway Station.

foodPark. traders are all independent owner-operated businesses with an emphasis on high quality and carefully sourced ingredients. Each of the traders are local to Cambridge or Cambridgeshire and all the food is freshly prepared and cooked to order for each customer.

Jacks Gelato 

After a life of making ice cream in restaurants and home kitchens Jack put everything he had into starting Jack’s Gelato, back in 2010, and hasn’t looked back.

Striving for perfection, never sitting still, making everything by hand in small batches and utilising THE best ingredients: Milk & Cream from the Estate dairy, Chocolates from Pump Street Chocolate, Honey from bee hives in our very city, coffee beans from Artisan Roasters throughout the country & organic and fair-trade Madagascan vanilla to name but a few.

Little Rose 

Located in the heart of Cambridge, opposite the Fitzwilliam Museum, Little Rose boasts historical charm and a delicious menu. Dating back 500 years, original features including exposed beams and interconnecting dining rooms are still intact and provide a wonderful setting for you to enjoy. The menu boasts expertly prepared gastro-pub style food, made using quality-sourced ingredients including steaks from renowned Scottish butcher John Gilmour and Colchester Rock oysters. Plus, a fully stocked bar including a carefully curated wine list and 2 for £12 cocktails every day.

The Old Bicycle Shop 

The Old Bicycle shop has gained a reputation from its fresh local ingredients, sustainable food & drinks and being known as the oldest bicycle shop in the country! Rumour has it that Charles Darwin, famed for his ‘Theory of Evolution’, bought a bike from this shop in the 1800s.

The quaint building, over 2 centuries’ old, offers an industrial & quintessential Cambridge design to celebrate the heritage of the original bicycle shop.
