Plough and Fleece – Horningsea

The Plough and Fleece is a beautiful country pub set in the delightful village of Horningsea. The timber framed public house and restaurant combines both a formal and informal atmosphere providing a fine modern dining room at the rear and a traditional rustic bar with informal eating tables at the front. We offer a large range of drinks to cater to all customers including cask and keg beers and a large spirits selection. Summer days and warm evenings can be spent in the large beer garden with views over fields to the river Cam, where children and dogs are welcome. If you are looking for a place to come for a few pints of good beer, a light lunch or evening meal, the Plough and Fleece will take care of you and provide a very warm welcome.

The Plough and Fleece is a community owned pub based in the delightful village of Horningsea just on the outskirts of Cambridge. The Pub has been community owned since 2012 and benefits from a strong local support.

The pub is a grade 2 listed building with many nods to its past, offering a modern, bright and comfortable dining room at the rear whilst retaining the pubs character and a more traditional pub environment at the front where dogs are more than welcome.

We also have a large beer garden to the rear of the pub with beautiful views across the fields and down towards the cam river, we like to say its the perfect setting to enjoy a pint or two!

We offer a large range of drinks to cater to every customers desires including six permanent keg beers including beers from The Mad Squirrel Brewery and Hoffmesiter Brewery. We also offer regularly changing cask beers and a well stocked wine selection from Cambridge Wine Merchants.

Alternatively if you are more of a spirit drinker we offer a selection of more than fifty different spirits with house and premium options to suit all budgets which includes fifteen different whiskeys and fourteen gins.

Our menu is ever changing and encapsulates the best available product that we can offer. All dishes are prepared fresh by our talented team. Alongside our  main menu we have regularly changing specials and offer a roast dinner on a Sunday as well.
