Cambridge Standing Tall

A sculpture trail of towering proportions will be taking over Cambridge this spring as over 90 gentle giants from the African plains gallop onto the city’s streets!

  • 21st March 2024 - 2nd June 2024

Cambridge Standing Tall will see 31 beautifully decorated giraffe sculptures take up residence across the city, all sponsored by a local business and designed by an established artist. Trotting alongside them are over 60 Mini Gs, each created by local schools and community groups.

Delivered by local charity Break with Wild in Art, and in partnership with Cambridge BID and Alan Boswell, not only will these beautiful creatures capture the imagination of Cambridge residents and visitors alike, they’ve also got a very important job to do – to help raise the vital funds for Break to continue their vital work in supporting the county’s young care leavers.

Trail maps are available at the following venues, with a suggested donation of £1 to Break:

  • Hilton Cambridge City Centre

  • Cambridge BID Ambassadors at Peas Hill or CB1 near train station
  • Gonville Hotel
  • Heffers Bookstore
  • Break shop, Sawston
  • Storey’s Field Centre Eddington
  • Novotel Cambridge North

Or download the official Cambridge Standing Tall app with an interactive map, and unlock the sculptures and collect some fantastic awards. Available on Google Play and Apple App store.
