The National Horseracing Museum will be hosting a very special exhibition in 2025 entitled: Horseplay. Featuring over 50 original horseracing board games, never shown before, the interactive exhibition will bring back memories of the many hours spent playing horseracing-themed games.

Horseracing has been one of Britain’s most popular sports for over three hundred years. Game manufacturers have tapped into that popularity, producing hundreds of games to replicate the thrill of a win at the races. Games have been designed for all age groups, from simple family friendly race games to more complex betting games for older groups. This exhibition will explore the many ways that game manufacturers have brought the racecourse to the table top from the simple dice and card games to more complex and immersive board games.

The exhibition will also be supported by a wide range of activities and events running throughout the year providing lots of opportunities for everyone to rediscover their love of games.
