  • 10:00 am - 1:00 pm

The #ShelfordFunRun is a measured 5k course on closed roads through the villages of Great and Little Shelford near Cambridge.

A UKA registered 5k race and a family friendly 5k fun run & walk are both chip timed and will set off in two separate waves on the same course.

For serious runners it’s a great chance to register a personal best on a fast and flat course.

For beginners and family groups the event is perfect! You can walk or jog at your own pace, enjoying the villages car free and savouring the atmosphere.

On the recreation ground, inclusive sports champions Power2Inspire are bringing their Super Sensory 1k (SS1k) to run alongside the 5k.  The SS1k is a separate circuit of Great Shelford Rec, with ‘sense stations’ dedicated to: Sight, Smell, Hearing, Touch & Taste.

There will also be refreshments and additional activities on the rec, including a duck race on the river!

Whatever your reason for taking part, you will enjoy a great day out and your participation will help support the work of our partner charities: Shelford Playscape and Cambridge Rare Disease Network (CamRARE).
